James Williams

James Williams clearly has an understanding of the psychological impact that juxtaposition  can have, and how effective it can be as a method of communicating ideas. In true surrealist tradition his art coerces the viewer to consider familiar objects in entirely new ways: staid, sepia portraits are digitally manipulated to become disturbing social commentaries; and eyes, windows, a magnifying glass and televisions become interchangeable.
