Our featured artist, Jairo Pereira Cavalcanti can, in what appears to be merely a few strokes of colour and the outline of some simple shapes, depict the intensity and energy of the tango, the mad passion of a new romance, the fierce and defiant joy of a bandito, and the tender heart of a mother for her children.
